RENNSTEIG WERKZEUGE is named after the “Rennsteig,” a hiking trail across the Thuringian highlands in Germany. This area has a longstanding tradition of excellence in hand tool design and manufacture.

Rennsteig Werkzeuge builds on this heritage, developing tools for the next generation of professionals.

Since 1991, RENNSTEIG has been a subsidiary of the renowned Knipex-Werk C. Gustav Putsch KG in Wuppertal, Germany.

Using new technologies, innovative processes and the highest quality materials, we build cable cutting, stripping and crimping tools, striking tools, shank chisels and a wide variety of other tools. Our in-house R & D Department works to continuously improve our tools and develop new ones, and numerous international patents are evidence of our innovative ability. One of our particular strengths is the development and manufacture of customerspecific tool designs for a very diverse array of specialist tasks.
